Dear EGL families,

Dear EGL School Families,
EGL has successfully completed our first few weeks of Digital Learning. The teachers and students were able to connect daily either through Zoom or Google Meet. We are finding the face to face time with our students is extremely valuable for both the students and teachers. We truly miss the amazing children God has placed in our care.

The teachers continue to impress me with their ability to think creatively with the academics, but more importantly, our teachers are emphasizing the mission here. We are Equipping God's Children for His Service even in the digital world. Our teachers are opening with devotions and praying with the students online in addition to all the lessons they are providing in the academic areas.

Please continue to pray for the teachers as they walk through this process. We will continue to pray for our school families as you have a much greater role in your child's education being placed on you. Please pray for our students as they have many unknowns and anxieties about this format.

Everyone is rising to an unforeseen challenge this year. God has seen fit to give us His Full Armor so when the day of trouble comes we may stand firm in Christ. God has blessed EGL with the updated WiFi and the completion of the Chromebook project just in time for this situation! God truly takes care of his flock in ways we can not even imagine!

I want to close with a Bible verse that has helped comfort me in many very difficult situations. It is from Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” God commands us these things because He is with us. Trust in God through these times! He is with
you so do not be dismayed or frightened. May God continue to bless you in these times!

If this timing does not work for you please contact me and we will figure out a time for you to come and get your child's things.

Thank you very much!

Welcome to Elm Grove Lutheran School!

Dear Parents,

On behalf of Elm Grove Lutheran Church and School I would like to thank you for your interest in our school.

Each day, as parents you make decisions that relate to your child’s welfare and development. What should they eat? What should they wear? Who are their friends? What should they watch on TV? I would ask you to consider one additional question; where should my child attend school? The Brookfield, New Berlin, and Waukesha school districts provide children with a strong academic education and some fine programs. However, there is one thing that they cannot provide, and that is the opportunity to study God’s Word on a daily basis.

Maybe an even more important question to ask yourself is, how important is my child’s faith development? Do I want my child in a loving and caring environment in which their faith is nurtured by the study of God’s Word and the example provided by Christian teachers, parents, and students? This is a question that I would hope that you, as parents, would consider and struggle with as you ponder the future of your child. Our society places less and less importance on Christian values and faith and public schools are a reflection of the society around them. Is this the educational environment in which you want to place your child? In Proverbs 22:6 we are told, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Lutheran education is there to help you train your child and to help them grow in faith.

I would encourage you to give careful consideration to where your child will be attending school, why your child will be attending there, and more importantly, will your child be receiving the spiritual nourishment that he(she) needs to grow in their faith.
